ENVIRONMENTAL ADVANTAGES OF REUSABLE WATER BOTTLES

The extreme increase in the use of plastic water bottles over the last 50 years has created an permanent ecological problem in the form of massive amounts of plastic waste collecting in our rivers, streams and oceans. Unfortunately, all this additional plastic is now leaking toxins into the water we consume.

For both health and environmental reasons, many concerned consumers have looked for ways to reduce their plastic waste. Switching to reusable water bottles is a great way to do your part to help limit the plastic pollution crisis, especially if you are in the habit of carrying beverages with you. The temptation to use a plastic bottle, or to purchase a drink in a plastic container can be hard – they are seductively convenient! Once you know just how much making the switch matters, it might become easier. Let’s take a greater look at the impact of plastic water bottles.
From recycling to using paper bags instead of plastic, people have started to take on the responsibility of reducing their contribution to the plastic problem and benefiting the environment. Many have added another great way of reducing their plastic use – ditching the single-use plastic bottle for good and replacing it with a sustainable water bottle.
All of those empty plastic water bottles and other plastics tossed every day are creating some crazy environmental and landfill statistics:
Plastic waste, including bottles, kills an estimated 1.1 million marine animals per year.
38 billion water bottles end up in US landfills per year.
Plastics require about 700 years to dissolve, meaning they accumulate rapidly in the environment and have negative impacts for centuries.
If you're into hot beverages, stop buying a those styrofoam cups of coffee or tea. Get yourself a reusable beverage container. Styrofoam cups are convenient because they are cheap and light weight, but styrofoam cups can have a negative human impact on the environment as well.

Americans have been reported to throw away 25 billion styrofoam cups every year. Styrofoam cups are non-biodegradable. Instead of breaking down completely overtime, styrofoam cups break into small pieces and stay in the environment for hundreds of years. This deadly substance is challenging to clean up. Styrofoam easily passes through waste collection systems and compile on land and in water because it is easily spread by the wind. Pieces of styrofoam show up in our parks, forests, beaches, oceans and rivers. The amount of single use plastic and styrofoam containers littered on our planet’s land and water is staggering.
Its time that individual people and business owners start working toward diminishing the environmental impact of plastic and styrofoam cups on their own. Together maybe we can make a difference. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

Path to Healing
This world is full of courageous people doing their best to survive their current heart-wrenching reality and hope they get through it, only to face yet another one. This seems to be the trend for a lot of us, especially over the last several years.Being part of the coaching industry, I hear countless stories every day. They range across a wide scale from moments of triumph to heart-wrenching realities. One thing I have found amongst all these conversations is that everyone has faced some type of trauma.
Even though many of these people have done their best to heal themselves, they still struggle through those challenges all over again when different triggers show up, especially if they are visualizing those memories. There is nothing wrong with having these stories in your book. Transformation comes from putting these experiences to paper, but that doesn't make facing those traumas any less difficult.

Did you really heal yet?
This reaction is completely normal; writing about these events, can be terrifying, but is an important step in finally starting the healing process.
The good news is that you are not alone! If you are writing about these darkest times right now, you are further along in your growth than you might realize.
For some, healing may feel a long way off, but I have witnessed friends with some of the most traumatizing stories be able to heal and grow to the point of being able to talk about their lives in an inspirational way. Learning from your mistakes and not falling into the same situations, but actually changing they way you approaching life is essential for your growth and happiness.
I am not saying that I am a qualified therapist who performs miracles. I am here to share that these people, as well as myself, have done the work and chose to reconstruct their traumas into fuel to create the change they wish to see in their lives.
Whether your taking a nice bath, enjoying candles, getting tarot card readings, getting out in nature or using other forms of self healing and there are a ton.
Keep going, my friend. The trauma does not have to run the show. It can be a tool for you to create an immense amount of change, because you are discovering a deeper understanding for those who have gone through similar circumstances. Those people probably need your courage more than ever, so let them in and let the natural healing begin. Don't forget to take deep breaths. Take care of yourself through the process and trust that it will come together in perfect timing. Don't forget to reward a job well done, even the little steps need to be rewarded.

Golfing Barefoot
MARCH 13, 2022

People are always surprised that I golf barefooted. I golf this way because I love the feel of the cool grass on my feet, it helps me to ground to earth, relax in nature and get back to my spiritual self. I get to see lots of beautiful natural scenes, even if I'm in the city most golf courses still have acres of greenery and water features.
The golf courses I usually frequent have lots of big green trees, layers of plants and flowers with huge amounts of green grass, all surrounded by huge layers of mountains. Most of the courses also have a cool running stream and lakes within them, so you usually lose a few balls and break a lot of tees trying to get over them. The occasional wild animal bounding past me is an absolute joy to see.

A couple of years ago I was golfing at a course that was nestled right up next to the Wasatch Mountains in Utah, USA. It was a cool day and this course has more tall trees than most. I hit my ball straight down the fairway and up onto the green. That was an exceptional hit for me. My average good hits is one in four.
As my golf ball landed and rolled to a stop, I noticed a big four point buck standing off to the side. The ball had startled him, he straightened up his head, his big ears shooting around to the right and then to the left, trying to hear where the danger is, then he looked right at me with a majestic stance, big brown eyes and in a flash he bound off the course and disappeared into the trees. What an absolute treat to see. Made my heart sing, gratitude swelled up inside me and for a moment I couldn't move. Well, until my golf partner urged me to keep golfing, we don't have time to stand around, as someone was coming up behind me.

Being in nature, grounding and seeing sites like that are the reason I go golfing and love it so much. I'm not even that good at the game and don't even keep score. However, I go with friends, so I also get quality time to enjoy our friendship and in a crazy world like this, we can all use a bit more quality time with our friends and loved ones.

What is Orgone Energy?
Orgonite works by drawing in energy through its matrix, which is made with resin and metals, the organic and inorganic materials.

“Wilhelm Reich’s discovery of orgone began with his research of a physical bio-energy basis for Sigmund Freud’s theories of neurosis in humans. Wilhelm Reich believed that traumatic experiences blocked the natural flow of life-energy in the body, leading to physical and mental disease. Wilhelm Reich concluded that the libidinal-energy that Freud discussed was the primordial-energy of life itself… Orgone was everywhere and Reich measured this energy-in-motion over the surface of the earth. He even determined that its motion affected weather formation.” Quote by: The Thought Company
Orgonite is based on two principles. It is a mix of resin (organic, as it is based on petrochemicals), and metal shavings (inorganic). A quartz crystal is also added because of its piezoelectric properties, which means that it gives off a charge when it is put under pressure (resin shrinks when it is cured, so constant pressure is put on the quartz crystal). Due to the fact that the elements contained in orgonite are constantly attracting and repelling energy, a “scrubbing” action takes place, along with the charge that the crystal gives off, this cleans stagnant and negative energy, and brings it back to a healthy, vibrant state.
Wherever you place these orgone they keep the air and life force in the home clean and positive. It is a great centerpiece for a business or home environment- kids room, kitchen, living room etc. They can be placed anywhere you want to clear ambient energy!
Inside every Orgonite pendant is a crystal quartz. This crystal returns the energy to a natural, balanced and healthy state.

My Protector, Gargoyles

My Protector, “The Gargoyle"
FEBRUARY 20, 2022Gargoyles are believed to offer protection to humans from evil, by detecting evil at night, transforming from stone to living flesh and bone, then off the scare the forces of evil away, keeping humans safe from harm. There are many avid collectors of these fascinating mystical creatures who enjoy them for many reasons. I originally started collecting Gargoyle statues when the popular animated television show “Gargoyles” came out in 1994.

From the first episode, I was hooked on the new animated series, the thought that some great creature would protect me while I sleep or go out at night was inviting to me and gave me the life long desired gift of security. Of course, I knew that those “Gargoyles” were just cartoons, but finding gargoyle statues to collect soon became one of my obsessions.
.I also enjoyed He-Man, which first aired in 1983 and Thunder Cats, which first aired in 1985. Who can forget Silver Hawks in1986 and X-Men: The Animated Series in 1992.

Gargoyle statues first became popular in medieval times when they were originally designed as waterspouts, an architectural necessity transformed into a functional fantasy. These fantastic statues adorned the buildings of western Europe, peering down from cathedrals, churches, houses and town halls. A society of stone creatures perched high above the mundane world.
What’s fascinating about the introduction of these stone monsters, sitting on the top cathedrals and churches, is that these ornamental creatures were given a deeply symbolic and spiritual significance, which originates from pre-Christian pagan beliefs. Early Christian leaders used the appearance of the gargoyle to scare pagans to worship, which actually improved general church attendance.
Once absorbed fully during the 12th century, it was only a matter of time before the gargoyle was fully appropriated by churches and many other buildings. Gargoyles were then deemed the protective being.

The fearful unknowing debated these perfect creations were merely stone demons—representations of ‘evil forces’ like wickedness and enticement—which lurked outside the safe confines of church and waited with patience for its next unfortunate victim.

However, the gargoyle sitting atop Notre Dame de Paris take their roles as protector a step further than most and apparently keep an eye out for people drowning in the Seine River in Paris, France. There are many artistic designs of gargoyles, some feature an variety of animals, humans and fantastical creatures, as grotesque guardian angels.
Another representation along this vein suggests gargoyles were the embodiment of unpardonable ‘souls condemned for their sins’ and while they were saved from damnation in hell, the cost of their transgressions is being petrified and placed on top of a church, in which they are no longer permitted to enter.
Gargoyles were created during a period of time where most of the people were illiterate in Western Europe. Throughout the years, they became a fantastical form of amusement and were partly responsible for forming of peoples behavior.

It’s no secret that humans have a fascination horror and gruesome things. This is just part of human nature and is one of the many reasons why gargoyles have continued to stay in popular society today. Sculptors haven’t abandoned these beautiful beasts and new carvings still appear on modern buildings around the world. The oldest gargoyle is found on a building in Turkey. It’s 13,000 years old and looks like a crocodile. The ancient Egyptians, Romans and Greeks also carved gargoyles to use as drain spouts on their buildings.
I have over 50 gargoyle statues, my favorite being my original 8 foot tall gargoyle mailbox in my front yard, made 100% of refurbished metal from Mike’s Metal Shop.
Today, gargoyle statues are mostly ornamental in function, taking visitors to your garden on a journey to Italy, France, or Spain and giving your garden an ancient, timeless look. Gargoyles in the garden can be used to shock, surprise, and entertain you and your guests. Gargoyle garden statues are believed to offer protection from evil, and there are many avid collectors of these fascinating and mystical creatures today.
